Thank you to all of those that attended our ZUMBA for GOSH, it was fun, a great workout and raised £800.00.  Thank you to all those who generously donated raffle prizes.  On the 21st July we drew the “Jewellery Raffle” won by ticket 311. The lucky winner was very excited and is now busy designing her bespoke jewellery up to the value of £500.00.

We recently visited Great Ormond Street Hospital to meet other trekkers, but more importantly to have a look around the hospital and see first hand where the money raised is being spent.  The new buildings have been designed and built focusing on the needs of the children and their families.  They are light, bright, colourful and spacious a more positive environment for all.

Sharon and I were privileged to go inside the hospital chapel which had been carefully lowered from the 4th floor to the Ground floor on a giant inflatable cushion, an outstanding feat of engineering. The chapel with its beautiful stain glass windows was brimming with soft toys left by children as a thank you or in memory of a child.  It was an emotive experience which brought home the reality of why we are working so hard to support the Charity.
